Prayer for Call Process:

Gracious and loving God, You are the source of all wisdom, guidance, and strength. We pray together seeking Your presence and direction as we discern and discuss the calling of a pastor to serve Peace Lutheran Church. We give thanks for the gift of leadership and for the faithful pastors who have been shepherding our congregation.  We are grateful for their service and the ways they have proclaimed Your Word and administered Your Sacraments. As we come together, fill us with Your Holy Spirit. Grant us wisdom and unity of heart as we consider the needs of this congregation. Open our ears to hear Your voice and our hearts to discern Your will. Help us to set aside any personal agendas and to focus on what will most faithfully serve Your mission and the growth of Your Kingdom. Guide the pastor whom You are preparing to serve this congregation. Give them clarity, peace, and trust in Your timing and plan. May we faithfully follow Your lead, confident that You are at work in this process. We entrust this decision and all that lies ahead into Your hands, trusting in Your good and gracious will. Help us to be faithful stewards of the trust You have given us, and may all that we do bring glory to Your name. We ask this through Jesus Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

Prayer for times of disaster:

Most merciful Father, Your ways are not our ways and we have not deserved Your kindness; yet, for the sake of Christ and His Passion, You hear the cries of Your people in their distress. Be with all who endure affliction and calamity and those who have lost possessions and loved ones from storm, hurricane and flood. Spare us, O Lord, for Your mercy's sake! Bless the work of those who bring rescue and relief. Enable Your church to support and comfort those who are suffering, pointing them to the hope and purpose You hold for all who trust in You. Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayer.

Illness/Health Prayer Requests:

Carolyn Fletcher (illness)

John, Janet Elton's 15 year old grandson (recovery)

Jay Greenstock (recovery)

Let us pray. Living God, grant comfort to (PERSONAL INTERSSIONS) all who are in need of healing and comfort. When they are afraid, give them courage; when afflicted, give them patience; when dejected, give them hope; and when alone, assure them of the support of your holy people. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Peace and Comfort Prayer Requests:

Gracious and Loving Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our dear brothers and sisters who are grieving the loss of their loved one. In this time of deep sorrow, we ask that You surround them with Your peace and presence. Lord, be their refuge and strength. Hold them close as they navigate this difficult season, and remind them that they are not alone. May Your love be their comfort, and may Your promises bring them hope. Help our church family to be a source of encouragement and support. Give us the wisdom and compassion to walk beside them, offering our prayers, love, and presence as they grieve. We trust in Your mercy and grace, and we ask for Your healing touch to be upon their hearts. Restore their spirits and fill them with the peace that surpasses all understanding, knowing that their loved one rests in Your care. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Prayers for Deployed Service Members:

Kevin Wolters (USAF)

Heavenly Father, we lift up to you our church member, Kevin Wolters, who is currently deployed, serving our nation with courage and sacrifice. We pray for his safety and well-being, that you would surround him with your protection and shield him from harm. Grant him strength and resilience to face the challenges he will encounter, and may he find peace and comfort in your presence.

We also pray for his family, who are enduring the separation and uncertainty of deployment. Grant them peace and comfort, and may they find strength in your love and support. Help them to remain strong in faith and hope, knowing that their loved ones are in your care.

Lord, we ask for your guidance and wisdom for all of our service members as they carry out their duties. May they be a light in the darkness, and may they always act with honor and integrity. We pray that they will return home safely and be reunited with their families, filled with gratitude and joy.

We thank you for their service and sacrifice, and we ask for your blessings upon them and their families. In Jesus' name, Amen.
